Facts:   On July 9, 2016, claimant Julius A. Bazan purchased a used 2013 Honda CRV-EXL from Bay Ridge Volvo American, Inc. d/b/a Bay Ridge Honda of Brooklyn. After further reviewing his documents, the claimant alleged that the Dealership had charged him for miscellaneous add-ons that he was not aware of nor did he want.
Injury:   Bazan alleged that he was charged for Zylon Treatment in the amount of $1,295.00; Honda Care package in the amount of $2,400.00 and tire guard coverage in the amount of $750.00 plus sales tax. The consumer was also charged for LoJack in the amount of $1,995.00 plus sales tax. After several attempts to get refunds, the claimant was still unable to get the Dealership to refund him for the add-ons and thus hired Anthony T. Ballato, Esq.
Verdict:   The parties negotiated a settlement. After several conversations and emails with the Dealership, the claimant was refunded for the unwanted add-ons in the sum of $5,257.45 with assistance of his attorney.
