Facts:   The consumer leased a new 2014 Chevrolet Cruze Turbo Diesel. The consumer received a standard warranty. Within weeks after purchasing the Chevrolet Cruze Turbo Diesel, the consumer reported problems with the Vehicle, in that on four (4) different dates he brought the vehicle in for repairs and the vehicle was out of service for over eighty-one (81) days. Consumer states that the vehicle had chronic problems with the engine. The consumer brought the car to the dealership to have these problems corrected four (4) times within three (3) months which exceeded the New Car Lemon Law (GBL Article 11-A) threshold of four (4) repair attempts and/or thirty (30) days out of service during the first two (2) years months/18,000 miles. The consumer’s efforts to compel return of the vehicle were denied and he therefore retained Anthony T. Ballato, Esq. to negotiate a settlement or commence a Lemon Law proceeding.
